the title of my magazine will be cut

Target audience - demographic

my target audience is aimed at 16-21 year old people who are into the individual lifestyle. I will aim it at both genders as both genders buy magazines.

Target audience - psychographic

There are many music magazine readers and they are all into different scenes and music genres, for instance rock, dubstep, drum and bass, indie, hip hop, grime, electro, house, punk and so on. i will plan to aim at the more dubstep and indie scenes. i will also include articles about up and coming artist, gigs happening soon and the fashion around the scenes of these genres.

Price point

The average prices for music magazines in this current society is around £3-£5 so i will average my magazine out to a price of £3-£3.50, as i believe a lower price will appeal to the readers more.

Weekly or monthly

I believe a monthly magazine gets more time put into it so the release of my magazine will be on a monthly basis rather than a weekly as i dont think the time will be suficient enough to make a good magazine. Also over the space of a month the news ect i can collect over the time period will be better.

Content

I will stick with the usual content of music magazines, with news, music news, info on up coming bands, also i will include just genereal info on fashion music and allround whats happening in the music genre im basing my magazine on.

Style

I will use a modern style with my magazine to appeal to the age im aiming it at i will stick to three main colours with a bold look and the font will be a mix of serif and sanserif. I will be including a lot of pictures within my magazine.

USP

My magzines USP (unique selling point) will be its cutting edge look on the music world of the modern day. Also it will be bring the latest news and info to the readers in depth and more informative than any other magazine.
