Working title of magazine?
I looked at many ideas for titles, such as streamline which I personally liked as it fitted in with the style of magazine. Then the words cutting edge came to mind so I think 'cut' could catch on
Target audience-demographic(gender,age ect)?
The target audience for my magazine is directly aimed at males 16-21 and depending on the content of the magazine it may apply to the older generation also. I may add things in to attract the female audience but it would only be a small percentage of the female audience because it would have to be the 'tomboy' type female.
Target audience-psychographic?
Looking at UK tribes I have decided to address the hipster, indie, geek sheek style audience as i believe this is where the niche gap in the market is at the moment in time.
Price point?
I would aim to average out my price between £2.50 and £3.00 because most big magazines are relatively expensive so if I wish to match up to my competitors it's better I let my audience know that my magazine isn't an extortionate amount at the start.
Weekly or Monthly?
I'd bring it out monthly because I would use the strategy of building a month worth of news and info ect to put all in one magazine and with the price so cheap it would be silly not to buy it.
Content?
My content will be mainly latest news on bands up coming artists and latest fashion, maybe add in some extras and free b's to keep the consumers happy, but the main aim would be to fill it full to the brim with everything they are looking for in a cutting edge magazine.
Style?
the style I aim to go for is the cutting edge indie scene, to attract my customers almost like it is one of them, like you can see the uniqueness of it on the shelve as soon as you walk into the shop.
USP?
My unique selling point will be the fact my magazine is so individual from all the rest and that there isn't any others out there like it.
